CONTAMINATION THE CLEAN FORMULA PROJECT

This project, in which we firmly believe, is the result of an evolution of a mere consultancy in the field of industrial contamination and our Clean Production, which success of 8 editions is our pride. Project entirely conceived and realized by us at Unilab, built ad hoc with the client that allows to develop and analyze in terms of contamination the innovations made in the company.

THE PROJECT

The project helps to take a global view and conduct an analysis of contamination risks throughout the product life cycle, in order to identify specific solutions suited to the business context. The risk analysis shall be carried out station by station, with the following key steps:

  • Identification of operations with a higher risk of contamination;
  • Optimisation of the workplace layout to distance or isolate sources of contamination from the rest of the production process;
  • Implementation of targeted solutions for the most risk-prone workplaces;
  • Integration of cleaning requirements into the design of new stations, to prevent contamination from the outset.

The focus should be on four potential sources of contamination:

  • Environment: external contamination and workstations.
  • Logistics: packaging, use and handling.
  • Personnel: human contamination, such as hair or clothing.
  • Equipment: dirty or improperly maintained machinery.

The more delicate the product, the more detailed and specific the cleaning and inspection procedure to be followed.

With the help of volume 2 of VDA 19, Unilab performs a series of analytical and test procedures to determine the level of cleanliness of environments, surfaces, liquids and assembly processes. These procedures can be used to:

  • Identify and quantify sources of contamination in order to implement corrective measures and verify their effectiveness.
  • Identify weaknesses within an existing production facility, to optimize the processes to be included in the planning of new facilities.
  • Monitor specific processes or areas over time to ensure constant control of contamination.

These measures are essential to improve product quality and reduce the risk of defects, especially in sectors such as automotive and aerospace
