The typical aspects of atmospheric corrosion are outlined. A synoptic overview shows all the main protection systems. Introductory course preparatory to the other training modules.

Introductory course. Painting is part of the whole range of anti-corrosion systems and, in particular, protective coatings. The fundamental theme of surface preparation is examined in depth. The types and properties of paint products and the main application techniques are described. The tests to be carried out for quality control in the various stages of the production process are discussed.
